Sub-Continent
Sub-Continent is the land area separated from the mainland
with distinct geographical characteristics. The subcontinent's physiography,
climate, pepples culture etc. will be different from that of the mainland. Eg:
Indian sub-continent.

Lanka, Maldives
Peninsula
Peninsula is the land area covered with the ocean on three
sides. Peninsula is also defined as the land area protruding towards the ocean
from continents. The Indian Peninsula is the land area protruding towards the Indian Ocean from the southside of the Indian Sub-Continent. The portion of the Indian Ocean on the east of the peninsula is called the Arabian Sea and the west is
called the Bay of Bengal.
