Unit 5. Who is Our Neighbour? (ആരാണ് നമ്മുടെ അയൽക്കാർ?)
True or false Game
Today Midhun sir introduced a new game. Sir shown us some flash cards with a picture and a sentence. If the sentence is matching with the picture we jump to the right side. If the sentence is false we jump to the left side.
1. This is a red toy car.
(Right sentence - jump to the right side)
2. This is a red ball.
(Actually the colour of the ball is blue. Sentence is false - jump to the left side.)
3. This is a doll.
(Right sentence - jump to the right side)
4. There are two bicycles.
(Actually there are three bicycles in the picture. Sentence is false - jump to the left side.)
How to correct second and fourth sentences?

Story (page 119 & 120)
Look at the picture in page 108. Lizzy is reading a book and telling a story to his brother. The same story is there in your text book at page 119 onwards. The title of the story is The squirrel crosses the river. Read the story and enjoy.

പുഴ കടന്ന അണ്ണാൻ
മിന്നി ഒരു കുഞ്ഞ് അണ്ണാനായിരുന്നു. പുഴയുടെ അടുത്തുള്ള മരത്തിലാണ് അവൾ താമസം. ഒരു ദിവസം അവൾ കുടയും ചൂടി പുഴയിൽ ചൂണ്ടയിടുകയായിരുന്നു. സോനു എന്ന മുയൽ പുഴയുടെ മറുകരയിലാണ് താമസിക്കുന്നത്. സോനു മിന്നിയെ അവൻ്റെ പിറന്നാൾ പാർട്ടിക്ക് ക്ഷണിച്ചു.
മിന്നി: ഹി, സോനു. ഹൗ ആർ യു?
സോനു: ഫൈൻ മിന്നി, ഇന്ന് എൻ്റെ പിറന്നാളാണ്. ദയവായി പാർട്ടിക്ക് വരണേ.
ഇതു കേട്ടപ്പോൾ മിന്നിക്ക് വലിയ സന്തോഷമായി. പക്ഷെ അവൾക്ക് നീന്താൻ കഴിയില്ല. പിന്നെ എങ്ങനെ അവൾ സോനുവിൻ്റെ പിറന്നാൾ പാർട്ടിക്ക് പോവും? പെട്ടെന്ന് സോനുവിന് ഒരു സൂത്രം കിട്ടി. 'ചൂണ്ടയുടെ നൂൽ എനിക്ക് എറിഞ്ഞു തരൂ. ചൂണ്ട മരത്തിൽ ഉറപ്പിക്കൂ.' സോനു പറഞ്ഞു.
മിന്നി: നിനക്കു നന്ദി. പക്ഷെ എങ്ങനെ പുഴ കടക്കും?
മിന്നി ചൂണ്ടയുടെ കൊളുത്ത് മരത്തിൽ ഉറപ്പിച്ചു. സോനു വളളി മറുവശത്തുള്ള ഒരു കുറ്റിച്ചെടിയിൽ കെട്ടി. മിന്നി കുട വളളിയിൽ തൂക്കി.
സോനു: കുട വളളിയിൽ തൂക്കൂ. വള്ളി ഞാനിവിടെ കെട്ടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
മിന്നി: ഹേ, ഹേ..., ഇതാ ഞാൻ വരുന്നു.
മിന്നി കുടയ്ക്കുള്ളിൽ ഇരുന്ന് നദി കടന്നു. മിന്നിയും സോനുവും ബർത്ത്ഡേ പാർട്ടി ആഘോഷിച്ചു.
Conversation (page 108 & 109)
Lizzy: Sam, there is a way to find out who our neighbors are.
സാം, ആരാണ് നമ്മുടെ അയൽക്കാർ എന്നു കണ്ടു പിടിക്കാൻ ഒരു വഴിയുണ്ട്.
Sam : What's that?
എന്താണത്?
Lizzy: It's simple. We'll go there and have a look.
അത് എളുപ്പമാണ്. നമ്മൾ അവിടേയ്ക്ക് പോയി കാണുന്നു.
Sam : Great! Shall we go now?
മഹത്തരം. നമുക്ക് ഇപ്പോൾ പോയാലോ?
Lizzy: Oh, not now. They may be busy today. We'll go tomorrow.
ഓ, ഇപ്പോഴല്ല. അവർ ഇന്നു തിരക്കിലായിരിക്കും. നമുക്ക് നാളെ പോവാം.
Sam : Okay. That's fine.
ഒ കെ. അതാണ് നല്ലത്.
(Next day) അടുത്ത ദിവസം -
Sam : Lizzy, come let's go there.
ലിസ്സീ, വരൂ അവിടേയ്ക്കു പോകാം.
Lizzy: Sam listen, what's that noise?
സാം ശ്രദ്ധിക്കൂ, എന്താണാ ശബ്ദം?
Sam : Hey.. look, there....
ഹേ... അവിടെ നോക്ക്.
(Sam pointed to the yard. It was such a wonderful sight. They walked in.)
Arrange the events
Please read page 109 carefully and arrange the following events in order.
1. The gate was open.
2. Sam dragged Lizzy to the neighbors house.
3. Sam pointed to the yard.
4. Sam and Lizzy walked in.
5. They reached the gate.
What will be the wonderful sight they see in their neighbor's yard? Let's discuss in our next class.
